you are trans (im talking to you my cisgender friends)

How do you walk about this earth? What elements of your self confidence have built over time? What concerns or anxieties do you have while navigating your day? Do you Feel like you are noticed or unnoticeable?

I bet you largely havent considered this but, chances are if you are cisgender, somewhere and someone thinks You are Transgender and thats okay.

You dont deserve the assumption of your cisness, just as i dont deserve the assumption of my transness. I am more than welcoming of the idea of passing for cisgender, just as you should be if someone assumes you are transgender.

Most often when I assume that someone is transgender, their responses are less than ideal. These people are offended and feel disgusted by the proposition, if even we are mutuals of sorts.

I wont stop doing this but it harkens on my point. You have an ideal version of yourself you hope to present. You do not have the privilege that you will be assumed as cisgender. Theres is nothing wrong with being transgender.

People say that there are telltale signs of transness. But honestly I can never tell if someone is cis or trans

So when I say "how long have you been transitioning?" its out of mutual respect for your beauty or to discover if you are a true ally.
